5 T. butter, divided
1 large onion
2 sprigs, plus 1/4 t. fresh thyme
salt and pepper
12 slider buns
1 lb. thinly sliced deli roast beef
12 slices provolone cheese
1/4 t. garlic powder
1 T. garlic minced
1 1/2 c. beef broth
1 T. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.

In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add onion and thyme sprigs and season with salt and pepper. Cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Discard thyme.

Place bottom halves of buns on baking sheet and top with roast beef, cheese, onions and bun tops.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter and add garlic powder, salt and parsley. Spread on bun tops and bake until cheese is melted, 10 to 15 minutes.

Au Jus: Add remaining 1 tablespoon butter to same skillet, heat and add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add broth, Worcestershire and thyme and season with salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Serve with sliders

You can also skip the caramelized onions and put fresh onions on the side. Melted cheese on the side instead of provolone.
