"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Even recipes invented from necessity turn delicious and filling. Side pork and Pioneer gravy are the best examples. Grandma Mandy loved side pork and passed on that love to grandson Larry.

Instead of simply frying cured bacon, pioneers cooked them a little special. You can serve this tasty dish with potatoes and cornbread.
