Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3¼ c. unsifted all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp. poppy seeds
½ tsp. baking soda
1 c. margarine softened
1 c. packed brown sugar
¼ c. white sugar
2 c. canned solid packed pumpkin
1 large egg
1 Tbsp. orange rind, grated

GLAZE:
3½ (1 lb.) powdered sugar
⅓ c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 350° when ready to bake.
In medium bowl, combine flour, poppy seeds and soda. In a large mixer bowl, cream together margarine, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in pumpkin, egg and orange rind. On medium speed, gradually add dry ingredients beating well and scraping down sides of bowl frequently. (Dough will be fairly soft.) COVER AND REFRIGERATE DOUGH UNTIL CHILLED, SEVERAL HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.
For small bones, pinch off golf ball size pieces of dough and press into strips about 6 inches long on lightly-floured surface. Fold about 1 inch of each end under. Shape to look like bones, making indentation in center of ends with finger tip. Bake on ungreased baking dish for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
For larger bones, pinch off larger pieces of dough and adjust baking time accordingly. Larger bones will develop cracks during baking, which makes them look even more like the real thing!
Cool on baking sheet about 2 minutes. Carefully transfer to wire racks. Spoon glaze over warm cookies, if desired. Cool completely.

GLAZE: Mix powdered sugar and water until smooth
