5 lbs. pork spareribs
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 egg

Sauce:
4 cloves garlic, crushed/minced
2 T shoyu sauce (Japanese style soy sauce)
1/2 cup vinegar
1/4 tsp Heong Fun (no idea)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp hoisin sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 T brown sugar

Directions:

Cut spareribs into 1 inch pieces. Plunge into boiling water and let boil for 15 minutes. Drain and let stand until dry.

Add salt and spices and let stand for 15 minutes or longer.

Mix cornstarch and egg and rub well into spareribs.

Heat pan and oil and fry spareribs until golden brown.

Heat one can of pineapple cubes, add reminder of spices, boil and thicken with 1 T cornstarch.

Add spareribs to this mixture and stir well.
