1 c. Sugar
½ c. Shortening
1 egg (beaten)
1 c. Applesauce
2 c. Flour
½ tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Baking power
½ tsp. Cinnamon
¼ tsp. Cloves
½ tsp. Salt
½ c. Raisins
½ c. Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º; grease/oil cookie sheets/pans
Cream sugar and shortening; Add beaten egg then applesauce mix. Mix together dry ingredients and add slowly mixing until well mixed. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by the spoonful onto greased cookie asking pan. Bake about 8-10 minutes until cookie springs back up when touched in center.
