Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 yeast cakes, dissolved in 1/2 cup of water
2 cups cooled, scalded milk (don't boil)
1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp. salt
6 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix yeast mixture with other ingredients in order given. Set 1 1/2 hours. Pat out onto a well-floured board, cut into circles, score middle lightly with knife, dip in melted butter and fold into rows on a buttered cookie sheet. Let rise to double size, then bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Tips: Add sugar to milk before scalding--it will help not to burn. Bring to almost boiling don't boil. Handle dough as little as possible to keep rolls light. Pour melted butter on cookie sheet, dip one side of circle in it, the swipe roll over spot it will sit to butter it, then set it down and fold where scored, pushing center to keep it together. That will produce a Parker House roll. You can roll it out and cut it into triangles and roll into a crescent roll if you wish. Or use dough with cinnamon, brown sugar, etc to make cinnamon or orange rolls.
