4 T. olive oil

3 T. chopped garlic

1 28oz. can tomato sauce

1 can water

1 15oz. can garbanzo beans with liquid

1 T. each, basil, parsley, and oregano

salt and pepper to taste

Elbow pasta ( amount depends how soupy you want it)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Saute' garlic in oil till light brown.

2. Add sauce and water along with herbs.

3. Bring to boil and then simmer for 20 min.

4. Add beans with liquid, continue simmering for 20 more min.

5. Cook pasta and add to sauce.

I use this same sauce, (without the beans) with fresh string beans. One of my favorite ways to eat green beans that Gramma made.
