1 C Milk
⅓ tsp Anise
2¼ Sugar
1 C Crisco
1 tsp salt
½ Baking Soda
5-7 C Flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a separate bowl mix Flour, salt, and baking powder. With a mixer or a hand whisk, combine Eggs, Anise, milk, and Crisco. Beat until well combined. Slowly add flour mixture until dough leaves the side of the bowl. Refrigerate 2 hours or until you are ready to use it.

Preheat oven to 350º Roll out dough small sections at a time and use cookie cutters. Place them on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until soft but brown around the edges.

Let cool before frosting/decorating.

I just buy creamy white icing from the store and use food colorings to make it the colors we want. You can also decorate with non-perilles, sugar sprinkles and chopped candies.
