1¼ flour
1½ tsp of baking powder
1½ Tbsp. sugar
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup cold butter
¼ cup of milk
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt together in a mixing bowl. Cut in butter in using a pastry knife until you get coarse crumbs. In a separate bowl, mix milk and egg until well blended and then fold in dry ingredients. Knead by flattening into a ½ thick sheet, then fold it in half. Then fold that in half. Repeat this seven times. This will build flaky layers. Roll out 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2' square biscuits.

Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350ºF until golden brown, approximately 12 - 17 minutes. Serve hot.
