1¾ cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
2 rounded tsp. baking powder
4 cups flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Blend all wet ingredients;
Add all dry ingredients;
Mix well;

Refrigerate for a few hours.

We made these cookies at Christmas when we were kids. I think Kathy and I liked eating the cookie dough the most! I made these with Reagan and Reid for the first time when Reagan was 3 and Reid was 1. Making and decorating these cookies has become one of our favorite Christmas traditions.
