Boil together for 5 minutes: 2 C sugar - 2 T shortening - 2 C water - 1 lb. raisins.

When cool add: 1 tsp. soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg and about 3 C flour.

Bake at 350 degrees in a greased pan.
