Ingredients:
½ bushel grapes, purple Concord
½ cup water
4 cups sugar
Paraffin
Broomstick

Directions:
Directions:
Day 1 - Pick grapes from arbor, even a few soft green ones. Wash in sink and drain. Put in large pot with about ½ cup water. When it comes to a boil, take it off the heat. Fill wet cloth bags (used bags hams came in} with grapes.

Tie bag to broomstick and lower into pot. Let drip overnight.

Day 2 morning - Throw out skins (pulp) left in bags and put bags in Clorox. Dry bags and store away. Do NOT squeeze bags to get more juice out.

Later in day - Put 4 cups juice in pot. Let it come to a boil. Add 4 cups of sugar. Let that come to a good strong boil. (Lots of little bubbles on top.) Turn down to medium low and cook 20 minutes. No need to stir. Can get foam off and put in a little bowl to discard. After 20 minutes, pour into washed jars almost to the top.

Day 3 - Melt paraffin in double boiler. Pour paraffin on top and screw on lids.
