Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups Rice Krispies Cereal 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, (I prefer milk chocolate)

Directions:Preheat oven to 350ºF. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, beat well. Add flour mixture, mixing until combined. Stir in cereal and chocolate chips. Drop by level tablespoon, or use a small scooper, 2 inches apart onto baking sheet that has been coated with cooking spray or use parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately from baking sheet using a spatula and cool on wire rack. |

Notes: I made these cookies for my daughters, JoAnna and Elena, and later April, when they were little. They would get home from school and find a big jar full of cookies. They loved them!
