1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ½ cups flour
½ tsp salt
Jolly ranchers, coarsely crushed

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until combined.
2. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
3. Add in flour and salt and mix until combined.
4. Empty dough onto a cling wrap and chill dough for 2 hours.
5. Working with a third of the dough at a time, roll cookies to 1/4 inch thick then cut cookies using cookie cutter.
6. Using a smaller cutter, cut out the center of the cookie and use a standard plastic straw to punch out a hole at the top of the cookie. This is to be able to thread a ribbon through to hang the "ornament" cookie.
7. Bake cookies on silicon mat lined baking trays at 350 for 8 minutes, fill ¾ to the top with crushed candy then bake for 2-3 minutes until candy is melted and edges of cookies are golden brown.
8. Once cookies are out of the over, allow to cool before attempting to remove cookies.
