Nanny's Chop Suey Recipe

¼ of large onion
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb ground beef
½ box spaghetti
2-3 Tbsp flour
8-oz can tomato sauce
1 8-oz can water
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in skillet with olive oil until browned. Remove , drain and set aside. Cook ground beef in same skillet and oil. Remove and drain. Put flour in oil; stir and cook until browned. Add tomato sauce to flour mixture and continue to stir. Add water to same mixture so it won't be be too thick. Cook until the consistency of gravy. Add hamburger, onion and spaghetti and stir.

While making the sauce, cook spaghetti in pot with salt and olive oil.

Nanny gave this a name but it isn't what most people call "chop suey." It is more like a spaghetti dish...but everyone loves it!
