1 package Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
2 eggs
½ cup butter or margarine, melted
¼ cup (firmly packed) brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease baking sheets.

Place cake mix, eggs, melted butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large bowl. Stir with spoon until thoroughly blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Use one level (measuring) tablespoon full of dough to make a ball and place on greased baking sheets. Bake for 12 minutes for chewy cookies (cookies will still be puffed) or 14 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheets. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

(I got this recipe on the side of the cake mix box. I don’t always use Duncan Hines, and I sometimes leave out the nuts and substitute m&ms or peanut butter chips.
