Note1: Grandma taught me an easy way to make sure the milk and butter mixture is not too hot. Put only 1C of milk in pan to heat with the margarine. Place the other 1C in the mixing bowl. When you put the heated milk in, the cold milk will help cool the mixture so you don’t kill the yeast mixture. I use my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer to mix up and knead my dough. (RZ)

Note 2: If you have a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer, you can use it mix up and knead your bread. It is so much easier than kneading by hand. (RZ)

Note 3: If you want to make a lot of bread, get yourself a good, large bowl with a cover that fits tightly. I use a Tupperware bowl - this was a tip from Grandma. As the bread rises, the lid will pop off. I check to see how much the bread has risen and put the lid back on until the bread has risen to double. The lid may pop off multiple times. But this way you always know your bread is rising! (RZ)
