"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
⅔ c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1 c. cold water
2 envelopes yeast
½ c. oil
2 eggs (room temperature)
6 c. white flour

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl mix the sugar and salt. Add the boiling water and cold water. Mix until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Add the yeast and mix until the yeast is dissolved. Add the oil, eggs and 3 c. of the flour and mix well.

Knead in 3 more cups of flour using the dough hook on a KitchenAid.

Place dough in a large oiled/nonstick sprayed bowl and cover with plastic wrap sprayed with nonstick spray putting the oiled side down so the dough will not stick to it.

Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled. Punch down and let rise again until doubled. Put dough on a floured board and let rest 5-10 minutes. Shape into rolls and put into two greased 9x13 pans (depending on the size you make them). Let rise until doubled in size.

Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes. After 20 minutes change top rack rolls to the bottom rack and vice versa if you have 2 pans, cover with foil if getting too brown and bake 10-15 more minutes.

Brush with melted butter.

Personal Notes:
In place of cold water, you can use OJ or milk for a different flavor. For variety, you can add orange zest or flaxseed meal when you add the flour. Instead of brushing the rolls with melted butter, you can make an glaze using orange juice, powdered sugar and orange zest.
