3/4 cup softened butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2½ cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
Powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar until completely combined. Add eggs and molasses and mix until the dough is fluffy. Add in baking soda and spices. Mix in flour, a third at a time. Refrigerate dough for 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 375º when you take the dough out of the refrigerator.

Roll dough into 1" balls and roll each ball in the powdered sugar until covered. Place on cookie sheet. **refrigerate dough between batches**

Bake at 375º for 9 to 10 minutes.

Completely cool. Store in an air-tight container with parchment paper between layers.
