1 cup softened Butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups Flour
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla, or Almond extract
1 1/2 tsp crushed earl grey tea (about 1 teabag) increase to taste as you learn to bake these

Directions:
Directions:
Mix softened butter until smooth and light yellow with a hand mixer. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Add vanilla. Sift in flour and earl grey tea. Use a spatula to really mix the dry ingredients into butter.

Put half the dough into a large section of plastic wrap on counter and roll into a log shape. Make 2 logs about 2” round. Store in refrigerator at least 2 hours or freeze for later use.

Take out and let sit 10 minutes then cut into 1/4” even slices.

Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes. Do not over bake. Sides should just start to brown.
