Put in a large bowl and set aside:
2 cubes butter cut into small pieces
3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

In medium saucepan add:
1 can evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Cook stirring constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking for 6 minutes. Stir constantly so it won't scorch.
Pour cream mixture over butter and chocolate. Stir until dissolved, then add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 cup chopped nuts.
Pour into greased pan and let stand at room temp for 1 hour then chill and cut into squares.
