Personal Notes:
This recipe is from Rebecca (Becky) Weissman. Aunt Becky, as our other relatives called her, was the mother of Bettie (Weissman) Fishman, who was the mother of Gary and Alan Fishman. Grandma Becky (Pfeffer) Weissman was born on September 25, 1892, she married Grandpa Joseph Weissman in 1915, and she passed away on December 17, 1970. This was and continues to be that part of the Fishman family's favorite apple pie recipe and it remains so through its 5th generation.
