6 oz. of Macaroni
2 c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese (Grandma Sue used American Cheese)
1 1/4 c. Milk or Heavy Cream (if you are going to go there...why not go all the way!)
1/2 c Finely Chopped Yellow Onion
1/2 t. Salt
Pepper to taste
Paprika to taste

Optional Items for Variation:

Bacon
Ham
Bread Crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Cook Macaroni according the package directions. Mix in cheese, milk/cream, onion and salt (along with any optional ingredients). Turn mixture into a greased 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish, then sprinkle with Paprika.

Bake in 350º oven covered for 30 minutes or until cheese is thoroughly melted. Uncover (sprinkle with bread crumbs if desired) and cook an additional 10 minutes to brown the top and make it crunchy.
