"Plain fresh bread, its crust shatteringly crisp. Sweet cold butter. There is magic in the way they come together in your mouth to make a single perfect bite."--Ruth Reichl

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup crisco
Flour - enough to make a soft dough
Chicken Broth
Cream of Chicken soup

Directions:
Directions:
Mix this all well (everything but chicken broth and soup). Work it with your hands until the dough is soft, make it into a ball, then use wax paper with flour sprinkled on top and roll the dough paper thin. Sprinkle real well with flour so it won't stick together. Starting at one edge roll the dough in a roll then cut narrow cuts all through the roll. Unroll the noodles and shake some of the flour off and cook in broth until tender. Add 1/2 can cream of chicken soup, butter, and about 1/2 cup milk.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Grandma often had these noodles on the table at family meals - and they went fast! There were never enough!
