½ cup Crisco
½ cup butter ( 1 stick )
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
¼ tsp baking soda
3 cups all purpose flour
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp vanilla flavoring
2 tsp lemon flavoring
1 tsp of almond flavoring

Directions:

Cream together Crisco and butter
Add sugar
Add eggs one at a time
Add buttermilk and flour- add salt
Add soda in last half of buttermilk
Add vanilla, almond, and lemon flavoring

Put in 2 loaf pans

Bake at 325º for 1 hour and 10 minutes

I’ve probably made over 1,000 pound cakes over the tears, sending them through the mail to grandkids and great grandkids to home and colleges. THE MOST REQUESTED ITEM EVER !
