Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 Cups Butter, softened
3 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Almond Extract
5 Cups Flour
2 tsp Soda
2 tsp Cream of Tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Use a large mixing bowl. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and almond extract. Use your hand mixer and beat until creamy smooth. Add the dry ingredients. Mix by hand. The dough will seem too dry but it will be fine. Use your hands to mix it and work it until it can be rolled out. Flour your counter and take a clump and roll it out. Cut in to shapes with desired cookie cutters. Keep rolling out a little at a time. This is a doubled recipe. It makes about 4 dozen cookies. Bake for 10 minutes only. Let sit on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before you scoop up. Cool on wax paper. They will be soft and chewy. Frost and decorate. ( Homemade frosting is best. Powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, little bit hot water. )
