2 1/2 lb flour = 10 cups
1 1/2 lb sugar = 3 cups
1/2 lb cocoa (2 cups ?)
1 1/2 lb chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
1 1/2 T baking powder- heaping
1/2 T all spice
1/2 lb crisco = 2 cups
1/2 quart milk
6 eggs
1/2 glass whiskey

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

1. mix crisco & sugar (use a stand mixer if possible)
2. add and beat in eggs
3. mix dry ingredients including spices separately and then
add slowly in mixer
4. Add whiskey and milk slowly until well-blended - add nuts last
5. dough should be sticky (add a little milk if not sticky;
add a little flour if too sticky)
6. Roll cookies into small balls and place on a cookie sheet.
7. Use greased cookie sheet
8. bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 mins?

Icing:
While the cookies bake, prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar,milk and vanilla. to the consistency of heavy cream for frosting. Dip tops of cookies into the glaze and let cool.
