Notes: Jamie's Great Aunt Cora (his grandpa's sister) use to cook for the Dana Family. They were a very wealthy family from Clayton, MO. Very prominiate lawyers in St. Louis. They owned a lot of buildings and land in St. Louis area and other midwest area's. She would travel with them to places all over the world and baby sit their kids and cook for them. She never married but was a wonderful sister to Jamie's Grandpa James G. Walker. He was an engineer at the water dept his father started and ran. The St. Louis Water Company in St. Louis county (Earth City). He also started the St. Charles Water Company as well. We have books and information on this. That would be Jamie's great grandfather who started the water Company. Just a little history about the Walker Family. Now Back to Aunt Cora... I have some of her old hand written recipes in a envelope. So cool! This corn Flake cookie won $5,000 prize from Kellogg's and was in the national news. In an article it says "Don't you want to fill your holiday cookie jar with these famous cookies." Everyone had a cookie jar on the counter for a snack. The cookie jar were all made different and found now in Antique shops as collectables. We had one growing up!!! (which Kori has now) Some were dogs, wagons, horses, or just round colorful pots. Look them up on computer. Such a pass time. Some day what you have or done will be a pass time but memories will full your thoughts.
