2 c. Flour
1 c. Sugar
⅔ c. Crisco
4-6 Big Apples (Cortland, Mac or Mix)
Butter 5-6 ¼ inch thick pad
cinnamon (eyeball)
ground nutmeg (eyeball)

Crust:
In a bowl put 1 ⅔ c. Flour, add ⅔ c. Crisco. combine and mix by hand using fingers.

In another bowl take ⅓ c. flour and add in ⅓ C cold water (should turn into a paste).

Add the second bowl of paste in with the first bowl (should turn into a ball of dough).

Flour a flat surface- cover with plastic wrap or wax paper.
Split the ball of dough into 2 equal parts. Roll out dough evenly into circles.

Take one crust and place into pie plate (press down to form the crust on bottom)

Peel apples and slice half as thick as an apple corner, laying the apples flat in the pie plate.
On top of the apples add 1 c. Sugar, along with a good amount of cinnamon and ground Nutmeg.
Place pads of butter around the top of the apples.

Add second crust on top and pinch edges floding over the bottom crust and then pressing down with a fork.
Cut 2-3 slices in top crust for vent.

It is ok to have some left over dough.
