1 lb. Ground Beef
3/4 Onion, chopped
15 oz can Diced Tomatoes
12 oz can Tomato Paste
2 cups Water
1 Tbsp. Parsley
2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Pepper
6 Lasagna Noodles
8 cups Mozzarella Cheese
1 container Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Preheat oven to 350º. Add ground beef and onion to large skillet. Brown and drain. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes. Boil lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain water off noodles and rinse in cool water (to make them easier to handle while layering into dish with other ingredients). In 9x13 baking dish layer sauce, noodles, cheese, sauce, noodles, cheese, sauce....and then top it off with cheese. Bake for 40-50 minutes.

This is my mama's recipe. The only thing I do different is add a lot more cheese than she did. When I asked her for the recipe she literally gave me the recipe card out of her recipe box. I love following her hand-written recipe. It makes me smile.
