Ingredients: Dough:
1 cup milk (warm) ½ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon divided 1 tablespoon active dry yeast 2 large eggs room temperature 6 tablespoons butter melted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4-4½ all purpose flour 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Filling:
1 cup brown sugar packed 2½ tablespoon ground cinnamon 6 tablespoons butter softened
Icing:
2 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons butter melted 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 tablespoons milk

Directions:Combine milk, yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in a bowl letting sit for about 5-10 minutes until it foams. Add all other dough ingredients. When dough forms place into a greased bowl, cover with towel and let rise for 1 hour. Flour a surface and place dough in the middle in a square shape. Roll out with a rolling pin about 12 inches wide by 2 feet long. Melt the filling butter and brush onto the entire square. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling and sprinkle over entire square. Roll tightly. Cut into two inch pieces and remember to pinch end of log to filling does not escape. Place 12 circles in a 13 x 9 inch pan onto of parchment paper. Let rise again 30 minutes or longer. Bake at 350º for 18-24 minutes until top is golden brown. Cool before combining icing ingredients. Spread icing over tops of rolls and serve. |
