½ cup butter
1 ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 ½ cups sifted self-rising flour
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter, and blend in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well (by hand). Stir in vanilla and flour. Mix thoroughly by hand and then stir in nuts. Pour into a 13x9x2 pan, like a pyrex dish. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350º for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Cut into bars.
