3 cups of Fresh sliced Peaches
3/4 sugar
1Tbls. cornstartch
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 tsp. fresh lemon
3/4 c. flour
1 1/8 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. milk
3 tbls butter, softened
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg and 1/2 tsp. cinnimon 1 1/2 tbls. of sugar

preheat 350 degrees
Grease 9X11 pan
In large sauce pan gently mix together peaches, brown sugar and water.
Cook and stir ove med. heat until thick. Add melted butter and lemon juice.
In large bowl mix together flour, and remaining 1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon and baking powder. Add milk and softened butter all at once. Beat until smooth.
Drop batter by heaping tbls. on hot peaches mixture. Sprinkle with sugar mixture.

Bake in oven 30 mins. until dough is lightly brown and done through.

*Dad and I went peach pick'n at my cousins farm. What a fun beautiful day that was!!!

A lot of my mom's recipes I have are hand written on index cards in her penmanship that she gave me when I was first married. This was one of them in her words. Not sure who the cousin was. It bring tears to my eyes to see that.
