1/2 lb butter
1/2 lb crisco
5 cups flour
1/2 C warm milk
1/2 T sugar
1/2 T vanilla
1 packet dry yeast
2 eggs beaten
1 lb powder sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut butter and shortening into flour until as fine as corn meal. Combine milk, sugar and vanilla then stir in the yeast until dissolved. Add to flour mix. Beat in eggs add a little flour if needed.
Knead slightly. Let raise until doubles (about 1hr). Cover counter with powder sugar. Break off small pieces of dough. Roll in sugar and shape into figure eights or crescents. Place on greased cookie sheet, bake at 375º 12-15 mins
