1 cup sugar
3/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
2 cups flour

Directions:

mix ingredients and roll into balls then into sugar.
Bake at 375ºF for 9 minutes.
