2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. shortening
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cream tarter
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Soak raisins in buttermilk for several hours before mixing. Line cookie sheets with parchment. Cream sugar, eggs and shortening. Add in dry ingredients and stir in soaked raisins. Add enough flour to drop by spoonfuls on to cookie sheets and bake 10-12 minutes.
