1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 to 1 cup chipped pecans

Directions:

Step 1
Mix all ingredients together and mold into 2 rolls. Chill until cold.

Step 2
Preheat oven to 400º.
Cut dough into thin slices and place on cookie sheet.

Step 3
Bake at 400º for 5 - 7 minutes until light brown.

Grandmama told me that most times these cookies never made it to the oven because her grandchildren loved to eat the cookie dough raw!
