1/2 c. butter or margarine
¾ c. sugar
1 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
2 cups granola type cereal
coconut flakes if desired
chocolate chips if desired
nuts if desired
m&m's if desired

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In large bowl cream butter and sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, mixing well before adding cereal and any other ingredients. (If using additional ingredients reduce the amount of cereal so cookies do not become dry). Drop by spoonful onto lined baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.

These cookies can be made with whatever is in the cabinet. It is great for using up ingredients.
Good cereals include Honey Bunches of Oats, Great Grains and Muesli. Additional items can be added for different flavors. It is a very good basic cookie dough recipe that can be used for your own creation. Recipe is from the box of Ralston Muesli.
