2 sticks butter
1 pound light brown sugar
2 1/2 cups flour, aerated
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 (12-ounce) package chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spray 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 pan with cooking spray. Melt butter. Combine and cream butter with brown sugar in bowl; set aside and let cool. In separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla; set aside. Add eggs to cooled butter mixture. With mixer on medium speed, add flour mixture to butter, sugar and eggs. Fold in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour into pan and bake 35 minutes.

*to aerate means to fluff or loosen the flour with a fork or spoon so that it is not packed.
