1/4 cup shortening
2 cups self-rising flour
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles course crumbs. Blend in enough milk to make a soft dough. Turn out onto lightly flouredd board and kneed gently for 30 seconds. roll out 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits with a floured 2 inch cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
