2 C shortening
2 C sugar
4 egg yolks
6 t vanilla
6 C plain flour
2 t baking powder
1 t salt
12 T milk
4-1 oz. square unsweetened chocolate, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar, add egg yolks and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Divide dough in half.
To 1st half add chocolate and mix thoroughly.
Chill dough.
Roll each half 1/8" thick onto wax paper.
Turn white half on chocolate half. Let chocolate extend 1/2" beyond white part on edge. Roll toward you with long edge coming toward you.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.
Slice thin and bake on ungreased cookie sheet @ 375 about 10 minutes. Makes a big batch.
