1/2 c granulated sugar
2 eggs room temperature

2 c chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, stir together melted then cooled butter and sugars.
Add eggs, one at a time, stirring until combined.
Stir in vanilla and maple syrup.
Add in cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add in flour.
Stir until completely combined.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Cover bowl with clear wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes (I told you this recipe was the worst!)
While dough is chilling, preheat oven to 350º. Prepare cookie sheets.
Place scoops of dough about 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake about 12 minutes (cookies will appear to be a bit underdone, but edges should be just beginning to turn brown).
Allow cookies to cool completely on cookie sheet.
Keep unbaked dough in fridge while waiting to put in next batch. Do NOT place dough on a hot cookie sheet.

Personal Notes:
Don't let the butter get too hot or it can melt the sugars and will make a runny dough.
