3 cups sifted flour
1 t. baking powder
½ t. salt
1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
2 T. cream or milk
1½ t. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming well. Stir in egg, cream, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients gradually. Mix well. Chill if necessary.
Roll out ⅓ at a time on floured surface to ⅛ inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 400º for 5-8 minutes (less for small cookies) until delicately browned. Decorate.
