Directions:Make Jell-O before you start process of chopping. In one bowl use orange juice in place of water on box; make second bowl same as above. Place in refrigerator and let get soft jellied (not hard) so you can mix together with ingredients.
Dry goods first – chop pecans. I do bag and place in a large bowl or ____. That way I don’t wash each time by doing dry first (the Cuisinart). Cranberries – 2 bags chopped – add to nuts. Cut celery in pieces and chop, add to bowl. Apples (5 small red apples or 3 large) core and chop with skins. Chop and add to bowl.
Mix all together (I use my hands). Add one bowl of soft jellied Jell-O and mix well. Then after mixed well, add second bowl of Jell-O. Mix again and pour into a sizable contain with lid. You could break in half and make two if you like. Place in refrigerator and spoon out into nice bowls for table.
Usually enough for 6 to 10 people at dinner and enough for several days later for leftovers. So it could really serve 20 people as a guestimate. Just double the recipe for more. But making twice it’s too much to make more together. |
