2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
3 - 4 Golden Delicious Apples
1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 TB grated orange rind
2 cups quick - cooking oats
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 350º

On wax paper, stir together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cloves & nutmeg

Peel & core apples. Chop them into 1/8 to 1/4 " pieces to make 3 cups

Cream butter & sugars.

Beat in eggs & orange rind.

Gradually & gently, beat in flour mixture until combined.

Stir in apples, oats, raisins & nuts.

Drop by Tablespoons, leavubg a few inches apart onto greased cookie sheets.

Bake until edges are slightly browned about 15 - 17 minutes
