1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 cups flour

Frosting:
3 egg whites (beaten until foamy)
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

Cookies:
1. Beat sugar and butter until fluffy
2. Beat in eggs and almond extract.
3. Stir soda and then flour until blended.
4. Cover and chill (2 1/2 hours up to 3 days)
5. Roll out dough, cut with cutters into shapes.
6. Place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart.
7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes.

Frosting:
1. Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
2. Dip cookies into frosting and allow to dry for 1.5 - 2 hours.
