12 x - large eggs
3 sticks unsalted butter
1 stick margarine
2 c sugar
1 T vanilla extract
2 T coconut or anise flavor
9 c flour, plus more if needed
12 tsp baking powder

Icing:
1 box powdered sugar - (4 cups)
1/2 stick butter, softened
4 - 6 T milk
1/2 - 1 tsp coconut or anise extract

Melt butter and margarine, add sugar and mix well, let cool
Beat eggs in large mixing bowl on high speed until foamy. Add cooled butter mixture and mix well
Add vanilla and coconut or anise extract. Mix well
In a large bowl combine flour and baking powder, add egg mixture and mix together ( I do this with my hands). Add more flour a little at a time if needed. Dough needs to be soft enogh to roll into balls,
not sticky or too hard.
Roll into balls and place on greased cookie sheets. Bake 350º for 9 minutes

To make icing combine all ingredients and beat until smooth and fluffy. Ice cookies when cool.
You can top icing with sprinkles or coconut is desired.
