1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oleo/butter
1 egg yolk
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 egg white
finely chopped or ground nuts
jelly of your choice



Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º

Combine sugar, butter & egg yolk.

Add flour & vanilla

Roll into balls, then beaten egg whites, then nuts.

Bake 5 - 8 minutes.

Take from oven, press thumb into center of cookie then return to oven to continue baking until golden.

Dot with jelly when removed from oven
