6 Eggs - separated
3 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1 cup Crisco shortening
1 cup buttermilk
1/4 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp Lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
1. Separate egg yolks from whites.
2. Mix egg yolks, sugar & Crisco shortening.
3. Add flour, soda, salt, lemon juice alternating with buttermilk.
4. Beat egg whites until stiff.
5. Fold egg whites with other ingredients.
6. Spray Pam & sprinkle flour in a fluted cake pan or pound cake pan.

Bake 350º for 1 hour or until done (toothpick comes out clean)
