After letting the bread rise the first time, knead. Cut off pieces and flatten. Place in hot grease; cover with lid; fry turning after it is brown on first side (about 10 to 15 minutes). Serve with butter, jelly or syrup.

As kids, we named it cat bread after setting it outside to cool and the CATS got it.
